Start with spot and time
Locate Nifty spot relative to the nearest modelled gamma regions, large OI clusters, and the Tuesday expiry cycle. Time matters because short-dated options become more sensitive as expiry approaches.
Do not start with a conclusion. Start with the map: where is spot, how much time is left, and what regions are close enough to matter today?
Check gamma regime
Ask whether spot is near a gamma flip zone or sitting inside a clear concentration region. Use regime language: sticky, jumpy, mixed, or unclear.
Avoid treating the flip as support or resistance. A Tuesday expiry read should respect model uncertainty because Greeks can change quickly.
Check OI change
Open interest tells you where contracts are being added or removed. On expiry day, the change often matters more than the static pile because positions can unwind quickly.
Read OI as a matrix: calls, puts, strikes, distance from spot, and change through the session. Do not reduce it to one sacred threshold.
Check futures and POC
Futures tape tells you how current activity is behaving. Session POC tells you where most volume has traded so far. Together they help separate accepted value from fresh movement.
If spot moves away from POC on expanding futures activity, the session may be testing a new value area. If it keeps returning, the session may be rotating around accepted value.
Check volatility and invalidation
India VIX, IV skew, charm, and vanna can all change the options map. These are background weather inputs, not direct instructions.
End with invalidation. What would make the read stale? Spot moving far beyond a zone, futures behaviour changing, OI unwinding, or volatility shifting can all force a fresh read.

When is Nifty weekly expiry?
Nifty weekly expiry is Tuesday. This checklist is built around that expiry cycle.
What should I check first on Tuesday expiry?
Start with spot, time left in the session, nearby gamma regions, and nearby OI clusters.
Is expiry day only about option OI?
No. Futures tape, session POC, gamma, volatility, and OI change all matter to the session read.
Should PCR and max pain lead the checklist?
No. In twiQ, PCR and max pain belong in Options Pro as gated supporting context, not the core FO desk heroes.
Does this checklist produce a trade call?
No. It is a reading process for Nifty F&O session math. Read it. Don't trade it.
What is the most important expiry habit?
Keep invalidation visible. If the map changes, refresh the read instead of defending the old one.
